Project info
Introduction
Jiri is an application that allows for the holding of a jury. For example, the Web Design courses in the 2nd year and Web Projects in the 3rd year of the Bachelor's in Graphic Design organized by the Haute École of the Province of Liège conclude with juries where students' work is evaluated by external members.
Challenges
This project marked my first experience working with Laravel, requiring me to quickly learn and adapt to the framework as I developed the product.
Strategies & Goals
- Enable the creation, management, and scheduling of juries for student evaluations in courses like Web Design and Web Projects.
- Simplify the process of assigning external members to evaluate student work by providing easy-to-use interfaces for communication, scheduling, and resource sharing.
- Create a platform where jury members can access all necessary information about students’ projects, including submissions, feedback, and grading criteri
- Allow students to submit their work easily, track their evaluations, and receive detailed feedback from jury members.
- Provide secure channels for external members to submit their evaluations and feedback while ensuring transparency in the grading process for both students and faculty.
- Reduce the administrative workload by automating the invitation of jury members, managing deadlines, and collating final evaluations.
- Handle evaluations involving multiple jury members with different scoring methods or criteria and present aggregated feedback to students.
